Blues News Band is a blues and rock band formed in 1995 in Montevideo, Uruguay by the singer and dancer Claudia Diez and the guitar player Guillermo Pelosi, with Fernando Barreto (Bass) and Jorge Rodriguez (Drums). Some guest musicians were: Diego D'Angello (piano) and Eduardo "Pato" Acevedo (harp).
They have performed  in many pubs, theaters, on radio and TV, in Uruguay and Argentina.
Since 1996 they live in Tenerife, Spain, where the band has new members: Arturo Meneses (Bass) and Artigas (Drums).
At present,  it's a power trio and a leading voice.
They characterize for the energy of the music in their live shows.
The repertory  consists in own songs, both in Spanish and English, and versions of the classics of rock and blues.
They carry out shows in diverse pubs and theaters of Tenerife: with seasons in the classic pub of Las Americas: "Round Midnight" or in "Carpe Diem". Also in "Custom Factory", "Vai Mohana", "The Blues Bar", "The Blue Note", "El Buho", "La Canela" and "La Balsa Blues".
Also they play in the most luxury hotels of the island as "Bahia del Duque", "Mencey" or "Abama".
In 2003, 2007, 2008 they performed in  the Blues Festival of Arona's City Hall.
In 2004 they travelled to London, performing in the mythical "Aint Nothing but...The Blues Bar"
In 2006 and 2007 they performed  in the International Blues Festival "Santa Blues" de Tenerife.

   Alicia Diez: singer, dancer, composer.
  Born in a musical enviroment, she began her musical studies at a very early age.
   She studied ballet and contemporary dance in an intensive way for more than ten years.
   She danced in several independent companies of Contemporary Dance and with the National Comedy of Montevideo, in Shakespeare's "Midsummer night's dream".
   She studied Singing, Phoniatry and Music in the National Conservatory of Music and took private  master classes with Socorrito Villegas and Nelly Pacheco.
  As a professional singer she performed in many groups in Montevideo, Punta del Este, and Buenos Aires.
   She recorded publicity jingles and in some also was a model.
   In 1992 she won the first prize in Agadu's (Author's general society) contest, with her group "10 Sueños".
  Since 1996 she continues siging and composing with "BluesNews Band" in Tenerife, also:
   Composer and performer of the music and choreography for the "2nd. Simposium of Archetypic Healing" presided by Colin Bloy.
   Usually she performes as a singer with the City Hall's "Arona Band"

Guille Pelosi: guitar player, composer, inventor
   He began his guitar studies at the age of 10 and at 17 he recorded his first record as a blues session musician.
   He continued his studies of guitar and harmony at Audem's Conservatory and then at the National Conservatory of Music.
   Also he studied classic harmony with master Belardi for four years, and afterwards, he studied Jazz and Blues bands harmonization.
   He played in many groups, performing in a wide variety of events.
   It's necessary to point up the performance, together with Gato Eduardo, kicking the night off before B.B.KIng's Band, in 1994.
   Together with Gato Eduardo he recorded "Blues de Alicia", in wich he made the musical arrangements.
   He recorded in JoséLuis Perez's (drummer) record "El 13".
   Also he recorded and made the musical arrangements in the group "10 Sueños" with A. Diez.
   In 1995 "BluesNews Band" was born.
   Since 1996 he continues playing and composing with "BluesNews Band" in Tenerife, also:
   In the same year he won an award of the Berklee School of Music in Tenerife.
   Composer and performer of the music for the "2nd. Simposium of Archetypic Healing" presided by Colin Bloy.
   Usually he performes as a guitar player with the City Hall's "Arona Band"
